More Weddings & Cake

I've had a busy few months getting used to a new job and having my sister get married in September. It was an amazing day and the cake was nicely admired by all the guests. I couldn't ask for better! I think my cake skills are slowly becoming more polished as I learn the tricks of the trade. They say practice makes perfect. So my sis didn't make it too easy as you can see- 4 tier red velvet buttercream cake with a pinata at the top, spilling skittles once cut...........it wasn't so much a spill, they needed some encouragement to be seen, but thats still a work in progress with me.

The same week as the wedding I had a novelty birthday cake to design and bake. An ex teacher wanting to travel the world, we came up with a map book and some miniatures highlighting certain countries she'd like to visit- an elephant for India, the Statue of Liberty etc. It made it to Oxford in one piece for celebrations the next day.

Christmas is upon us once again, I can't believe it! But PipCAKES will be promoting their cupcakes and Christmas Cakes for presents. If you fancy some inspirational Xmas shopping too, then come to High House Production Park, Purfleet on 4th December for arts and crafts stalls and entertainment. Open from 4-9pm, all welcome.
